Shea Rides From Portland To Fort Worth, Texas

Portland born Shea Fisher has good genetics for her career as a rodeo riding country singer and marketer.
Her dad Eddy was a champion bull rider and mum Joanne a barrel racing champion.
Shea now lives on a Texas ranch near Fort Worth with husband Tyson Durfey and their three children.
Tyson is a World Champion Tie Down Roper.
She has business interests that finance and market her career.
Shea runs Shea Michelle Buckles, Shea Baby Boots And Children Western Clothing.

This week she rides high on her hit Ow In Cowboy that she wrote with fellow western star Walker Hayes.
It’s on her third album that follows her recent hit Take Me Back To Texas.
Shea signed her first recording contract at 16 and in 2009 moved to Nashville.
Shortly after her arrival the record label shut, leaving her at a crossroads in her career.
“It was a difficult moment,” she revealed.
“I had to decide whether to give up or keep pushing forward so I headed to Texas.”

Charlie Collins A Night Writer

Tamworth export Charlie Collins debuted on Nu Country TV with her family group Chasing Bailey after graduating from rock band Tigertown.
Charlie, now 37 and born Charlene Joyce Bailey, made her name in her hometown before hitting the lost highway and heading overseas.
Her 2019 debut album Snowpine was nominated for Best Country Album at the ARIA awards and won the Best Independent Country Album AIR Award in 2020.
“Snowpine is about my journey from when I was a kid, to now,” Collins revealed.
“I’m nervous and excited to release this vulnerable body of work. I expose a lot about who I am, what I’ve been through, people I love who have suffered, and what I still struggle with. I hope you enjoy my life book, my story, and maybe understand me a little better.”
The album was released before her national support on Kasey Chambers 20th Anniversary tour of The Captain in 2019.

In 2022 Charlie released her second album Undone which was nominated for Best Blues Roots Album at ARIA awards.
Collins toured with artists including Orville Peck, Gang of Youths, Sam Fender and Waxahatchee and played Laneway, Fairgrounds, Woodford Festival, Splendour In The Grass and CMC Rocks festivals.
Charlie has written and worked with Sydney songwriter Xavier Dunn, Japanese Wallpaper Jarryd James, Kasey Chambers, Justin Tranter and Neil Finn.
Collins fronted our show with I Don’t Want To Be In A Rock Band and Please Let Me Go.
This week she performs The Last 48 Hours from her third solo album Night Writer.

Nathan Lamont From Wagga Wagga To Nashville

Wagga Wagga singer-songwriter Nathan Lamont has had plenty of hometown support in his career.
Nathan comes from a family with 22 siblings and represented Australia at the Americana fest in Nashville last month.
The Tamworth Starmaker and Voice finalist also fronted our show with Name On It, I’m Calling Shotgun, Drink You Up and Skin To Skin.
This week he showcases What Comes After from his second album.

Molly Tuttle Rides On A Lonesome Highway

Californian chanteuse Molly Tuttle heads out on a lonesome highway on her return to our show.
The bluegrass belle, now 32, hails from Santa Clara and debuted with her dad in bluegrass bands when she was 11.
At 15 she fronted her family band The Tuttles after battling hair loss diseases since she was just three.

Molly found solace since 2023 with her partner Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine Show who won fans at festivals and concerts on their Australian tours.
She performs The Highway Knows from her fifth solo album So Long Little Miss Sunshine.

Nate Smith World On Fire

Fellow Californian Nate Smith is well qualified to sing of flames and raging fires.
Nate, now 40, bounced back after the devastating Butte County Camp Fire that decimated his home in Paradise in 2018.
It inspired his Wildfire song that went viral on TikTok in 2020 and his World On Fire song and video that we feature this week.
Nate has won large audiences on his Australian tours that included his main stage show at the Riding Hearts festival at Caribbean Gardens, Watsonia last week
Nate debuted on our show with Whiskey On You with Tik-Tok creator Katie Demps Dempsey and returned with Canadian Avril Lavigne with Can You Die From A Broken Heart from Nate’s second album California Gold.
World On Fire follows his two albums and two EPS that included Wildfire, I Don’t Want To Go To Heaven and Whiskey On You.

Adelaide Aleksiah Takes Her Clothes Off

Adelaide singer-songwriter Aleksiah jovially sings about what happens when folks take your clothes off.
Aleksiah, now aged 25, revealed her song started as a scare of intimacy and sex and not being able to take her clothes off because of self-esteem and hating her body.

Clothes Off is on her debut EP Who Are You When You’re Not Performing?
She released her debut single Fern two years ago and played BIGSOUND 2023 and concerts with Lime Cordiale, Kita Alexander, Holy-Holy, Teenage Dads and Teenage Joans.

The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.
She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.
Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.
Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 46.
