John Paycheck – son of the late outlaw star Johnny Paycheck hits the stage at the Cancun Cantina in his debut on our show.

John is an Army aviator Reserve Army Officer and fire fighter and returned to music long after the death of his dad in 2003.

His musical journey began as a roadie travelling with his father.

Two major events diverted him from music temporarily.

His dad’s passing in 2003 led him to explore firefighting and technology – 9/11 spurred him to serve his country as an Army aviator.

John still serves as a Reserve Army Officer in Europe.

Despite his hiatus music remained a constant thread in his life drawing him back after 20 years.

As a combat veteran, farmer and devoted family man John’s return to music was fuelled by support of fellow country music legacy kids.

The CMA member and BMI songwriter’s first single Lone Stars charted on radio.

John’s music career is a testament to his deep bond with his father.

“I have worked hard at everything I’ve ever done,” Paycheck revealed.
“Even still I know I’m lucky and fortunate. I want to make the folks who have helped me along the way proud. I want to bring honor to my family and make certain that those who love my music are happy to say they are a John Paycheck fan.”

This week he performs Honky Tonk Blackout that follows Lone Stars on his album We All Have A Story.

Till The Day That I Die joins God Made You on their debut EP The Love Songs.

Two of The Love Songs are stripped-back wedding versions of some of the duo’s previous tracks. Till The Day That I Die Wedding Version reflects eternal romantic love reminiscent of a timeless wedding song.

“It’s another flavour of the same song that might be more palatable in more of an intimate setting, like at a wedding, or if a couple is doing a slow dance,” Hanson revealed.

“The main reason we wanted to put these ballads on our debut EP is we believe in the songs so much. They’ve gotten so much steam and traction on social media already, and I just think there’s a lot left in the tank for these songs that the world needs to hear.”
