Mackenzie Carpenter Headlines Nu Country TV

Georgian singer-songwriter Mackenzie Carpenter and Texan band Midland headline Nu Country TV at 9 pm on Saturday May 31 on Channel 31/Digital 44.

Fellow Georgian Kip Moore and Kiwi singer Jenny Mitchell and her twin sisters return to the show repeated at 3 am on Monday.

Canadian star Jess Moskaluke, Bakersfield born belle Ash Taylor and fellow Californian Dasha also appear on our program filmed and edited by Laith Graham.

Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Georgian Mackenzie Carpenter hits the dance floor and stage in her return to our show with Texan band Midland.

Carpenter, now 25, was fuelled by a Tequila or two in I Wish You Would from her debut album Hey Country Queen.

It features Dozen Red Roses she performed on our show last week.

Mackenzie first charted with Can’t Nobody after writing songs with her brothers and singing in church.

She wrote Lily Rose’s 2021 No. 1 hit Villain and Top 15 singles I’m Not Pretty, Indifferent and 28th of June with fellow star Megan Moroney.

Since joining Valory Music in 2022 she toured with Miranda Lambert, Megan Moroney, Jake Owen, Parker McCollum, Craig Campbell and Ryan Hurd.

Last year she released singles Sound Of A Heartbreak, Only Girl and Holler Boots On.

Midland toured here with singer actor Tim McGraw and singing spouse Faith Hill in 2019 and appeared on Nu Country with their Halfway To Heaven video from their sixth album Barely Blue.

The band also fronted our show with Getting Lucky, Drinking Problem and Burn Out.

Kip Moore Takes Solitary Tracks

Fellow Georgian and frequent Australian tourist Kip Moore returns to our show with a lone wolf tale.

Moore, now 45, inspired the barmaid to take to the stage and sing after she arose from walking on a lonesome railroad in Solitary Tracks.

Moore also fronted our show with Beer Money, If I Was Your Lover, How High, Crazy One More Time, Jani Blue, Fire On Wheels, In The Wild, Don’t Go Changing, More Girls Like You, How High, Around You and Last Shot.

Moore was a 2023 CMC Rocks Queensland festival headliner with Zac Brown Band, Morgan Wallen, Ashley McBryde, Randy Houser and major acts at Willowbank Raceway, Ipswich.

Kip also played 2018 CMC Rocks Queensland festival and Melbourne Forum with Lee Brice and Charlie Worsham.

Moore, one of six children, debuted at Snowy Mountains country festival in Thredbo and CMC Rocks Queensland in 2016.

Jess Moskaluke Boomerangs

Canadian star Jess Moskaluke extolled the virtues of smalltown living in her Nu Country TV return.

Jess, 34, hit the back of a pick-up truck that drove her journey.

The Saskatchewan songbird was joined by her horse and other fine fillies by the water.

Life For Me follows her two albums and five EPs.

In September 2011 she won New Artist Showcase Award at Canadian Country Music Association Awards and represented Canada at Global Artist Party at 2012 CMA Music Festival.

Her debut single Catch Me If You Can was released on June 4, 2012, and followed by EP of the same name and 2014 album Light Up the Night.

Jess previously fronted our show in 2015 with Cheap Wine & Cigarettes.

Bakersfield born belle Ash Taylor debuts on our show in a travel trip.

She takes viewers deep into paddocks and way beyond as she showed how those hay bales led her to find a bucolic beau.

Ash slept in her car when she first arrived in Nashville.

She now lives with her guitarist husband Chris and Golden retriever Mel.

Stuck On Indiana is on her second album.

Jenny Mitchell And Twin Sisters

Expat Kiwi singer Jenny Mitchell is joined by her twin sisters Nicola and Maegan at their family farm at Gore in New Zealand in her return to our show.

They visited tree huts, swing sets and chicken coops as they flashed back to their hometown and sweet childhood being repeated.

The trio performs Sister from Jenny’s fifth album.

Jenny now lives in Australia and tours with prolific Golden Guitarist Kasey Chambers on her Backbone tour.

Jenny debuted on our show May 10 with Square And Plain from her fourth album that followed her Tug Of War disc.

George, Waylon, Merle and Willie Nelson were among country historian Barbara Dowling’s favourite Texans.

The Waylon, Highwaymen, Merle and George discs were donated by Barbara who died at 77 in December, 2020.

She co-hosted Long In The Saddle in our Nu Country FM era and was pioneer Australian and Victorian country music awards judge.

Barbara was admired for rising above losing her sight as a young woman and her country passion with annual trips to Waylon’s birthplace in Littlefield, West Texas.

Waylon died at 64 on February 13, 2002, and is survived by singing spouse Jessi, now 81, and son Shooter, 46.
