Willie Nelson Headlines Nu Country TV

Texan singing actor and icon Shotgun Willie Nelson headlines Nu Country TV on Saturday May 2 at 10 pm on Channel 31/ Digital 44.
Fellow Texan Paul Cauthen, Kentucky Grammy winner Carly Pearce and Arkansas singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde boomerang to the show repeated on Monday at 1 am.
Melbourne singer-songwriter Tom Woodward and NSW Coastal cowboy Jake Davey debut on the program filmed, edited and produced by co-host Laith Graham.
Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Willie Nelson Celebrates Heart Of America

Shotgun Willie Nelson celebrated his 93rd birthday on April 29 and returns to our show with panache.
He performs Heart Of America from the soundtrack of new movie The Gray House.
His new video follows 153 albums for the singing actor and golfer.
Willie toured here several times with his own bands and The Highwaymen.
He and late fellow singing actor Kris Kristofferson played golf on a public course near the Yarra River on one of his Highwaymen tours.
Willie has appeared in more than 50 movies and telemovies and runs his Luck movie town outside Austin, Texas.
Willie and Emmylou Harris celebrated their longevity on their Nu Country TV return last week.
They shook music and hands when they perform Hand In Hand that follows Willie’s 153rd album Working Man.
Willie recently appeared on our show with his Last Leaf video where he showcased his love of horses at Luck town where he stables horses at his rescue ranch.
The four times wed dad of eight children is on the road again to promote his 152nd album The Border and his 153rd LP Last Leaf On The Tree.

Paul Cauthen Rides High On A Texas Swagger

East Texan star Paul Cauthen, also known as Big Velvet, joins Shotgun Willie as Lone Star state icons on his return to our show.
He performs Texas Swagger from his fifth album Book Of Paul that was released on April 3.
His 2016 solo debut album My Gospel was followed by hits including Cocaine Country Dancing, Bayou By You and Ain’t No Crime.

Ashley, now 42, performed What If We Don’t that follows her sixth album The Devil I Know.

She performed another new song Rattlesnake Preacher at the 59TH CMA Awards in November.

Melbourne singer-songwriter Tom Woodward found a phoney messiah in his Nu Country TV return.
Tom sang of our dizzying world of false gods and gullible devotees.
Tom debuted on our show with previous video Termination Day – a parody of hi-tech feudalism and economic totalitarianism
He survived a two month walk up the east coast of Australia.
It landed his weary body in hospital before he was deported from America as an illegal alien.
But he boomeranged home to perform with his band True Delusions.
Phoney Messiah is on his seventh album Come, Come Karma, released on January 28.

NSW Coastal Cowboy Jake Davey Triumphs Over Spinal Cord Injuries

NSW coastal cowboy Jake Davey, who recovered from a 2023 spinal cord injury to walk and sing, debuts on our show.
Jake was told he would never walk again and his diagnosis threatened his mobility and future in music.
But after relentless rehabilitation and sheer determination Jake resurrected his career as a singer, songwriter, producer, videographer, mixing engineer and young father.
Jake performs Working On Me he produced with Jackson James and filmed in Jake’s hometown on the Mid NSW coast.
Working On Me is on his new album.
