Dolly Parton and Zac Brown Band Headline Nu Country TV

Singer-songwriter-actor Dolly Parton and recent Georgian tourists Zac Brown Band find their favourite butterfly in their Nu Country TV return at 10 pm on Saturday December 20 on Channel 31/ Digital 44.

Texan Miranda Lambert, Kentucky coal-miner’s son Chris Stapleton, Texan singer-songwriter actor Shotgun Willie Nelson and fellow Texan Cody Jinks boomerang to our show repeated on Monday at 1 am.

South Carolina singer Marcus King, Jamey Johnson, Kaitlin Butts, Nebraskan Keli Belles and Kentucky singer-songwriter Blake Wood adorn our program filmed, edited and produced by co-host editor-producer and camera man Laith Graham.

Nu Country TV is a highlight of C 31 streaming list on Digital 44.

Dolly and Zac Find Butterflies In The Studio

Dolly Parton, 79, and Zac Brown, 47, filmed their butterfly video in a studio on their Nu Country TV return.

Butterfly is on Zac’s 15th album Love And Fear.

Dolly recently recovered from illnesses that caused her to cancel shows but quip “I Ain’t Dead Yet.”

The eleven-time Grammy winner and singer-songwriter actor country queen was joined by Nigerian born gospel ace Blessing Offor on a double shot on a previous Nu Country show with Somebody’s Child from her 51st album.

She revived historic Collective Soul song Shine as she took a trip down memory lane and other Nashville locales.

Dolly met her late husband Carl Dean 62 years ago en route to the Wishy-Washy laundromat.

She also released bluegrass and Rockstar albums and Tom Petty tributes.

Dolly published her picture book about her god-dog Billy The Kid Makes It Big about her dog who barks to the beat of country music and dreams of becoming a country music star in Nashville.

Billy the Kid Makes It Big is a New York Times bestselling book winner.

She fronted our show with Texan Miranda Lambert on Dumb Blonde – first hit on Dolly’s 1967 debut album Hello I’m Dolly.

Dolly released her album Run, Rose, Run that shares name with the best-selling book she wrote with famed author James Patterson and features Ben Haggard and Joe Nichols as guests.

It precedes her Rockstar album featuring artists diverse as Chris Stapleton, John Fogerty and Ringo Starr on her Butterfly Records.

She released another new book Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones.

Parton teamed with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams for her sequel Dolly’s Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream to promote her album on her Butterfly label.

Some proceeds from sales go to Parton’s literacy program The Imagination Library.

Parton contributed $1 million to funding of COVID-19 vaccine fronted Time 100 and People of Year honours and raised $700,000 for Tennessee flood relief.

She released Dolly Parton’s Baking Collection that includes her Southern Style Coconut Flavoured Cake Mix, Southern Style Banana Flavoured Cake Mix, Creamy Buttercream Frosting, Chocolate Buttercream Frosting and collectible tea towel and spatula.

Zac Brown Band Boomerang

Triple Grammy winner Zac Brown and his band toured here in October.

They also graced our show with Tie Up from their 2024 EP No Wake Zone.

The father of five formed his band in 2000 and attracted diverse AFL and rugby stars including Billy Slater at concerts on his four tours here.

His band fronted our show with Same Boat and Someone That I Used To Know on their 10th album Comeback released after their pre-pandemic Australian tours.

Brown had good reason to celebrate – he survived a personal bout with COVID-19 that halted their U.S. tour.

“The Comeback celebrates our collective resilience as a community,” Brown revealed.

Texan Triple Grammy winner Miranda Lambert and Kentucky coal-miner’s son and 10-time Grammy Winner Chris Stapleton sing up a storm as they return to Behind Bars with their new single.

Miranda, now 42, and Chris, 47, wrote A Song To Sing with Jesse Frasure and Jenee Fleenor.

It portrayed writing a song through the love of a relationship.

You can sing along to the lyrics on their video.

A Song To Sing was produced by Dave Cobb for Miranda’s 10th album Postcards From Texas.

Belles and Blake Wood Go Crazy

Nebraskan Keli Belles and Kentucky singer-songwriter Blake Wood go crazy in their new duet as they explore aftermaths of a breakup on lower Broadway in Nashville.

They showcase their honky tonk duet with relish.

Crazy As Me is Keli’s fourth single off her EP and follows Broken in Boots, What In The Truck, Happy Hour and Porcelain videos and debut album All Hat No Cowboy.

Belles is touring with fellow country artist Charly Reynolds on 14 U.S. concerts.

Kely also sings with her mother under the name Mulberry Lane.

Blake was born in Kentucky and raised in Wake Forest, North Carolina into a musical family that includes three older brothers, his mum Lori, and dad Steven.

Blake signed his first publishing deal as a songwriter and recording artist in early 2023 with Deluge Music.

Cody, now 44, and his Tone-Deaf Hippies band are joined by bucolic belles and burly blokes in their Nu Country TV return.

There’s no shortage of tatts and hats in their vibrant dances and drinking as they hit bars before taking to stages.

The Others is on his 13TH album In My Blood recorded at Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas.

It was released on July 25 on Late August Records.

Cody is promoting In My Blood on his Hippies & Cowboys tour.

Jinks also fronted our show with Few More Ghosts, Outlaws And Mustangs, Loud And Heavy and Cast No Stones.

Texan singer-songwriter actor Shotgun Willie Nelson returns to our show with the title track of his 76th studio album and 153rd album in his colourful career.

Last Leaf On The Tree illustrates the longevity of Willie who turns 93 on April 29.

It was produced by Micah – one of his three sons and eight children.

Willie played golf with late Rhodes scholar and fellow Highwaymen singer-songwriter actor Kris Kristofferson on a Yarra Bank course on one of his many Australian tours.

Marcus King-Jamey Johnson-Kaitlin Butts Return

South Carolina singer Marcus King, Jamey Johnson and Kaitlin Butts return this week as they shine in a visit to a deep south ghost town.

Marcus, 29, is the son of blues guitarist Marvin King.

Here Today is on Marcus’s seventh album Darling Blue.

He is touring here for Byron Bay blues festival April 3 and 4, Sydney Enmore Theatre on April 8 and Forum in Melbourne on April 10.
