Arizona star Dierks Bentley and Indiana singer-songwriter Stephen Wilson Jr sample a cold beer can in their return to our show.

Dierks, now 49, and Indiana star Stephen Wilson Jr, who celebrated his 46th birthday yesterday, chose a liquid celebration.

They proved a cold beer can had more currency than money – words can’t say what a cold beer can.

Cold Beer Can is on Dierks 12th album Broken Branches.

Georgian singer-songwriter Cayley Hammack returns to Behind Bars with a question.

Caylee, now 31, gave up a tennis career after surviving a cancer tumour when she was 16 in her southern Georgia hometown Ellaville to pursue her music.

This week she performs How Long from her second album Bed Of Roses.

Caylee previously fronted our show with Bed Of Roses – her second album title track – and Reba McEntire on Redhead on Caylee’s debut album If It Wasn’t For You released on August 14, 2020.

Her reliance on pain killers after a cancerous tumour was removed inspired her first recorded song Addictive.

“When I was 16, I had a two pound tumour removed from my back spinal muscle,” Caylee revealed.

“I went a month fearing I had cancer and I was terrified. We had to wait for me to get better before I could have surgery. Three days later the specialist called and said we had the blood screen pathologist look through it and they’re now clear. That moment felt like a clean slate from God. It was a wake-up call of sorts. Life is shorter than you thought. I’ve been given a second chance so go and do something with it. It was the first song I wrote in bed after I was getting through it. It was about the pain killers and a relationship I was having. It was the first song I ever got anyone in Nashville interested in me.”

Caylee hit Nashville at 19 and slept in her car in the same car park as fellow chart topper Jimmie Allen.

“We stayed in the same parking lot,” Caylee recalled.

Ohio singer-songwriter and former postie Preston Cooper follows with a mailbox memory.

Preston, now 22, had a good reason to recall mailboxes in his debut on our show.

He walked 20 miles a day as a postie before moving into music.

Preston performs his Numbers On A Mailbox video from his debut album Toledo Talking.
