Louisiana tourist Lainey Wilson and Tennessean Morgan Wallen headline Nu Country TV on Saturday May 16 at 10 pm on Channel 31/Digital 44 with a double shot.
Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus and Texan Sunny Sweeney boomerang to our show that is repeated on Monday at 1 am.
North Carolina coal-miner’s son Luke Combs and Moree teenager Kyla Belle return to out show hosted by our joint producer, camera man and editor Laith Graham.

Lainey Wilson And Morgan Wallen In Behind Bars

Louisianna singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson is joined by Tennessean tourist Morgan Wallen in the second of her double shots in Behind Bars.
They join forces for Still Standing Here before she sings of being stuck at the dead end of a red dirt road.
Morgan celebrated his 33rd birthday on May 13 and Lainey turns 34 on May 19.
Wallen released his 37-track album I’m The Problem last year.
Lainey also released her fifth album Whirlwind last year.
Dead End Red Dirt Road is on the Gray House movie soundtrack.
Lainey celebrates her 34th birthday on May 19.
She released her Netflix documentary Keeping Country Cool on April 22.
Lainey runs Bottoms Up 3-story bar, Cajun restaurant and music venue in Nashville.
Wilson also fronted our show with Somewhere Over Laredo from the deluxe edition of her fifth album Whirlwind that followed her 2024 Australian tour with Jackson Dean and Kameron Marlowe and returned to our show with expat Australasian superstar Keith Urban on Go Home With You.
She previously appeared on Nu Country with Whirlwind, Heart Like A Truck, Texas When I Die, You Can’t Make Old Friends, Watermelon Moonshine, Wildflowers And Wild Horses, God Bless Texas and Hang Tight Honey.
Wilson won Entertainer of Year and Female Artist of Year and Music Event of Year for Save Me Jelly Roll at Academy of Country Music Awards in May last year.
She has won six Academy Of Country Music Awards and seven Country Music Association Awards.
She performed at Rod Laver Arena on Friday February 20.

Sunny Sweeney Houston Homecomng

Texan singer-songwriter Sunny Sweeney returns to Nu Country TV with her band live in a studio.
They performed Houston Belongs to Me from her sixth album Rhinestone Requiem.
Sunny, now 49, was born in Longview in Texas.

The twice wed singer graduated from Texas State University and chose a singing career after working as an actor and comedian.

Jelly Roll And Miley Cyrus Message To Their Saviour

Tennessean singer-actor-rapper and wrestler Jelly Roll and Miley Cyrus boomerang to our show with a message – God I’m Tired Of Trying To Be Okay.
It will be on three-time Grammy winner Jelly Roll’s 11th album, out this year.
Miley, now 33, made her name as an actor and singer and has appeared in 10 movies and released nine albums and is one of Billy Ray Cyrus’s six children.
The three-time Grammy winner gained fame in Hannah Montana and was once married to Melbourne born star Liam Hemsworth and
Jelly Roll, now 41, is also an actor, rapper and wrestler.

Miley and brother Braison Cyrus previously appeared on Nu Country on his video Know This.
Braison, now 31 and a model and actor, and Jordan Lindley wrote the song that features special guest Kris Collins.
It precedes another Braison song As Long As You’ll Stay with backing vocals from his sister Miley and Grammy-nominated artist Noah Cyrus.
The release marks the first recorded duet between Braison and Noah.
Braison released debut single I’ll Never Leave You in 2018 and followed with his debut album, Javelina.
He has a son Bear Chance Cyrus, now aged five, with wife Stella McBride.
Braison, Miley, Brandi, Trace, Christopher and Noah are the six children of singing actor Billy Ray who no longer has an achy breaky heart.

Luke Combs Says He Is No Cowboy

North Carolina coal-miner’s son Luke Combs, now 36, tries to tell us he’s not a cowboy on his Nu Country TV return.
I Ain’t No Cowboy is on his 22-track sixth album The Way I Am.
Luke and Tennessean Jelly Roll previously appeared on Nu Country with their gospel flavoured video I’m Never Alone.
Jelly Roll has mixed his music with acting and wrestling and appeared on our show with Only God Knows.
Luke previously fronted Nu Country with Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma, Where The Wild Things Are, Six Feet Apart, Growing Up And Getting Old and Cold Beer Calling My Name.
Combs, who toured here last year, and singing spouse Nicole are parents of three sons.

Kyla Belle From Moree To Tamworth

Moree singer-songwriter Kyla Belle closes our show with her sweetheart tale.
Kyla is a 16-year-old alt country singer-songwriter who won the Triple J Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative award in 2025 for her debut single Myself.
This time she performed her new video Sweetheart from her debut EP Took a Turn released in March.
Kyla is a proud member of the Gomeroi tribe and began writing music at a young age composing songs on her bedroom floor, reflecting personal experiences and emotions.
Her music blends alt-country and pop capturing the spirit of teenage discovery and self-expression.

Belle is also known for busking on Grafton Street in Dublin, Ireland, and participates in choir performances.
