JAYNE AND COLT MOONSHINE MEMORIES

Jayne Denham and Colt Ford kick off this week's show as part of a drinking double shot.

They are joined by a colourful cabin cast as they fight the law and win in their colourful crescendo.

Jayne, now 41, used hard liquor as a metaphor for powerful love in her Moonshine video.

It shares the name of one of her own brews she has on the market here in the Blue Mountains and way beyond.

She joined Franklin County Distilleries from the old American moonshine capital Virginia.

Jayne has 80 proof 750ml bottles which come in ridge runner pear and orchard peach varieties and feature her on the label dressed in western style attire including leather pants, hat and jacket as well as hand crafted leather accessories by Buffalo Girl.

Moonshine was written by Colin Elmore, Cameron Jaymes and Melissa Pierce.

“When I first heard Moonshine, I knew it was the perfect fit for me, and I could immediately hear exactly how I wanted to sing it,” Jayne revealed.

“Colt Ford is the perfect addition for the direction of the song, and to have him featured on it was the piece of the puzzle that fit so seamlessly.”

Moonshine is title track of Jayne's sixth album out later this year.

RODNEY CROWELL AND EXPAT AUSSIE JEDD HUGHES

Texan troubadour Rodney Crowell, a frequent Australian tourist, showcased his down under conduits on his return to our show.

Crowell, now 72, and Wilco ace Jeff Tweedy are joined by expat Australian guitarist and singer-songwriter Jedd Hughes live in the studio on his new video.

Everything At Once is on Crowell's 23rd album The Chicago Sessions on May 5 on New West Records.

The 10-song set was produced by Jeff Tweedy and recorded by Tom Schick at Wilco's Loft in Chicago.

It followed Crowell's 2021 album Triage and reflects his 1978 debut , Ain't Living Long Like This.

“In a lot of ways, this album feels like that very first record to me,” Crowell revealed.

“When my daughter suggested we lay the artwork out similarly, the connection made perfect sense. There's something very simple, very innocent about it. It's just me and the band in a room together, loose and live and having fun.”

Crowell previously fronted our show with his videos for Transient Global Amnesia Blues, Something Has To Change, Sex And Gasoline and Nashville 1972.

Crowell toured here in 2015 with Emmylou Harris and was married to fellow singer-songwriter Rosanne Cash from 1979-1992

Rodney and Rosanne have three daughters - Crowell has another daughter from marriage to Martha Watts in 1975.

Crowell wed fellow singer-actor Claudia Church, 59, in 1998 and produced her self-titled debut CD after she appeared in his videos.

During a brief break-up Crowell wrote Please Remember Me - a hit for Tim McGraw.

He also wrote Making Memories of Us for Claudia as a Valentine's Day gift - a major smash for expat Australasian star Keith Urban.
