DONNA REIGNS IN MACEDON RANGES

Trentham troubadour Donna Fisk is joined by pals in the Macedon ranges on her return.

Donna, now 62, also led a horse to water in her vibrant video for her ruptured romance recovery requiem.

Drunk On That is on Donna's third solo album Be produced by Robert Angello in Nashville.

She promotes it live at the 51st Tamworth Country Music Festival in January.

“My interpretation of the lyric is to be intoxicated by possibilities,” Donna revealed.

“I produced a sunny video for the song as well and I think it brings the idea together. The water scenes were filmed at my neighbor's new pond pool in Trentham and my backyard was the location for all other scenes.”

Donna's sister Rebecca's daughter Lily McDonald and pool owner's daughter Ruby Wilson Pierce are also in the video.

“The lady horse whisperer owns a horse property in my shire and is the wife of Rock & Roll 1960's star Buddy England and the red haired Siren is Trentham local - Amanda Lee,” Donna added.

Donna follows longevity of dad Gene Bradley Fisk who still hosts WYN-FM radio shows at the ripe young age of 87

He made his name as a singer-radio host on 3UZ, K-Rock and 3GL Geelong and hosted radio shows in Swan Hill and Maryborough

MAREN MORRIS BACKGROUND MUSIC

Texan singer-songwriter-actor Maren Morris returns with her song for singing spouse Ryan Hurd.

The Grammy winner, now 32, appeared in vast cast of TV shows including NCIS New Orleans and Sesame Street and penned hits with Hurd and other major writers.

Background Music is one of 11 songs she wrote on her sixth album Humble Guest.

"I wrote Background Music about the beauty of the temporary which is inevitably all things," Morris said.

"The romanticism of eternity sounds nice, but I like to think I savor things better when I know I'm not entitled to it in perpetuity. It's a love song that addresses mortality, but it's also promising someone that even when we aren't cool anymore, I want to grow old with them and laugh about the times we thought we were."

She wrote Background Music with Jimmy Robbins and Laura Veltz that follows Circles Around This Town from Humble Quest.

CAM ALLEN ENJOYS LAKE DAYS

Oklahoma singer-songwriter Cam Allen enjoys days on the water on his Nu Country debut.

The American Idol finalist has plenty of company as he hit dry land for celebrations in his Lake Days video.

Lake Days is a summer anthem for all those lake weekends, waking up with sunburnt skin and searching for your second wind as you are getting a little tipsy on the water with your family, friends, and lake buds,” Cam revealed.

“Whether floating or beached in a cove, you're making memories and singing along to your favorite tunes. That's what summer is all about. Your tan gets a little darker, your buzz gets a little stronger, and all of life's worries go away for a day. You can catch me and the band out on the water for another round all summer long. We'll be sinking that boat upside down.”

His debut EP Daydream was released in March 2022 on GOAT Music.

Lake Days follows singles Daydream, Drink To That Too, Texas and Jack Daniel's Cologne.

Cam and his band of Oklahoma and Texas musicians share stages with Dustin Lynch, Randy Rogers, Chris Cagle, Corey Kent and Mike Ryan.

TY HERNDON FINDS REDEMPTION

Grammy nominated Dove award winner Ty Herndon was born in Meridian, Mississippi - same town as late yodeller and country pioneer Jimmie Rodgers.

Twice wed Ty, now 60, rebounded after bouts of depression and drugs and in 2014 was first major male country star to reveal he was gay.

Ty also found God in recovery from his drug addiction.

Til You Get There is on Ty's 13th album Jacob, released in July.

“This song is about the trials and tribulations we all face in life - both big and small that can seem so overwhelming and discouraging when they're happening,” Ty revealed.

“But I believe everything happens just the way God intends, and we don't always know what all those bumps along our journeys mean until we reach the end. I wanted to kick off this album with a fun, uplifting, and inspiring song that we can all relate to, and I think we nailed it.”

Jacob is Herndon's first new album since 2016 House On Fire .

Herndon derived the album title from Biblical Old Testament figure, Jacob, who dealt with severe challenges and mistakes before rising to become a leader of his tribe.

Between 1995 and 2002 Ty had 17 chart singles including three #1s and top 10 hits I Want My Goodbye Back, Loved Too Much, A Man Holding On and Hands of a Working Man.
